MUMBAI: Ranbir Kapoor was in Sri Lanka for one and a half months, but there has been so much happening back here. Now he’s back and he has spoken up about everything.

Although, he did not accept nor deny anything about his relationship with Katrina Kaif, he does say he does not want any more spotlight on the issue. He even spoke about the bikini fiasco that Katrina Kaif got embroiled in.

“It’s not about one person, but involves two people, the other being a girl, and she has more to lose than me. I think there is a right time to speak about everything. But right now, I am so consumed by my life — be it my professional or personal life — that I don’t want the spotlight more on that,” the reticent star said.

At the same time Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his dad Rishi Kapoor by saying he’s completely opposite as a person when compared to his father. He also says that while growing up, he admired Rishi Kapoor more than his mother Neetu Singh.

“I am a little possessive of my mother and don’t like her romancing other heroes. If it’s my father, it’s fine. When he is acting with you, you don’t realise what he is doing as it’s so simple and natural, but when you see it on screen, there is a larger picture,” he says.

Ranbir Kapoor also said that he would be ready to lay his life down for his parents, his ‘Wake Up Sid’ director-friend Ayan Mukerji and Katrina Kaif among others.

He also says that he finds it hard to believe that he is a star. He says, “For me, a star is not above the film. When everything comes together, a film does well and it adds to my star value and stardom.”

Ranbir Kapoor ends by talking about his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone with whom the actor still shares a professional rapport. He does ask something of the media and public though. He says, “I hope people can distinguish between us and that we are working together only as professionals. There is nothing common in our lives other than the films we have done or will do.”
