MUMBAI: Bollywood has been grieving Jiah Khan’s demise ever since the sad news of her suicide broke last week. And many Bollywood stars paid their heartfelt condolences to Jiah’s family at her prayer meeting, held at Vile Parle Medical Club on Saturday evening.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who starred opposite Jiah in her second film ‘Ghajini’, was understandably most perturbed by the news of her death. He was one of the first to rush to her family’s side upon hearing the tragic news, and has been rallying around her grieving family. He was there at her burial, and also spoke lovingly about Jiah at the condolence meet.
Aamir Khan reportedly choked up and held back tears while speaking about Jiah, and how he knew her since her childhood and how she was like a sister to him.
Many other Bollywood celebrities were also spotted at the sombre occasion, consoling Jiah’s bereaved family members as best they could. Deepika Padukone and Randhir Kapoor, who starred with Jiah in her third and final film ‘Housefull’ were seen arriving at the prayer meet.
Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Kapoor, Sanjay Khan, Nagma, Urvashi Dholakia and many other friends from the industry paid their last respects to Jiah.
