CHENNAI: John Abraham has had a good 2013 so far with a hit in ‘Shootout At Wadala’. His next film ‘Madras Cafe’ releases on 23 August. As the director wanted the film to have a larger reach in the South, it was recently dubbed in Tamil.

John Abraham was the sole representative of the film at the Tamil trailer launch in Chennai. While he appeared in a blue t-shirt, he answered all questions about the film.

Recently the Tamil activist outfits Naam Thamizhar and Students Federation For Freedom Of Tamil Eelam reportedly sought a ban on ‘Madras Cafe’ for allegedly portraying Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) members as terrorists in the Hindi trailer of the film. But that did not stop John Abraham from launching the Tamil trailer in the city.

The director Shoojit Sircar has said “As a conscious citizen, I know how sensitive the issue is. The film is entirely an unbiased perspective.”

The film, which is a political thriller, also stars Nargis Fakhri.
