MUMBAI: Fans and well wishers were all excited to see Hrithik Roshan make his first public appearance since his surgey at the trailer launch of ‘Krrish 3’. And the actor bounced back pretty strongly, thanks to his undying willpower!
“I am fit and fine…I am absolutely fantastic. Even with the hole in my brain…my spirit is intact. I thank all my fans for love and support. It (surgery) has reaffirmed a few values. There is nothing better in the world than a man’s will”, said a teary-eyed Hrithik while addressing the media.
He hugged papa Rakesh Roshan and credited him for being the one man whose vision has been the sole reason he is here. “Today I am here because of one man’s vision and that’s my father. He is an example of courage”, added Hrithik.
The father-son duo got pretty emotional at the launch. Papa Rakesh Roshan has always come to the rescue of Hrithik Roshan during time of crisis. Not once but thrice.
When ‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ released, Hrithik’s career took off like a rocket. But a few run-of-the mill roles in films like ‘Mission Kashmir’, ‘Fiza’, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’, ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’, put his stardom at stake. He was almost written off as a one-film wonder, until ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ happened.
The spate of a few flops continued with ‘Na Tum Jaano Na Hum’, ‘Aap Mujhe Acche Lagne Lage’ while Hrithik tasted success with ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’. But again it was ‘Krrish’ which revived his career the second time around.
And the lesser said about the the debacle called ‘Kites’, the better. And now again it’s Rakesh Roshan who is set to take Hrithik Roshan’s career, now pretty secured post ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ and ‘Agneepath’, to a new high with ‘Krrish 3’. It’s like giving a new lease of life, each time.
And each time, it’s just been the strong willpower that has made Hrithik Roshan evolve as a true superhero.
While Rakesh Roshan also said that his house has not one but two superheros – son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina (who battled cancer). And even Hrithik agreed to it. Probably it is a leaf from his own family’s life that Hrithik takes out, to get the willpower.
Will that willpower be strongly evident in ‘Krrish 3’ – with the actor playing a father, son and a superhero, time will decide. But in the eyes of all, Hrithik has already proved himself to be the superhero with a big heart!
‘Krrish 3’ also stars Vivek Oberoi, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra in the lead and is set to release on Diwali, 4 November.
