[tps_footer]After being 30 days on parole, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt leaves for jail to complete his five-year jail sentence at Yerwada Jail in Pune. Lately, Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju himself made the plea for pardoning Sanjay Dutt in the year 2013. After a gap of two and a half years, the Maharashtra Government had finally come to a conclusion of Sanjay Dutt’s fate.
Two days later the judgment, today on September 26 Sanjay Dutt leaves back to complete his jail sentence. The actor was spotted leaving from the building premises. Wife Manyata Dutt who was quite emotional over it was seen biding bye to the actor. Moreover anything, the actor who had taken the 30 days parole citing his daughter’s serious illness, was seen carrying her little daughter Iqra in his arms while see was crying.
It seemed a complete emotional moment for the entire Dutt family. One can also see in the picture that the twin kids Shahraan and Iqra are sadly looking at father Sanjay Dutt while he sits back in his car to leave for the jail.

Sanjay Dutt is serving his punishment for the illegal possession of arms in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. The actor was jailed in the year 1996 for 18 months and then was granted a bail. Again in the year 2013, the highest order of law Supreme Court sentenced him to five years in prison. Altogether, Dutt was supposed to spend 42 months in prison excluding his 18 months in the year 1996.
Governor Vidyasagar Rao has rejected Sanjay Dutt’s petition on the suggestion of the Home Department. According to reports, it is being said that the Home Department was in favor of the rejection of the petition because they believed that Sanjay Dutt was convicted by the highest order of law and not abiding by the same would come out as a bad precedent.
