Lakme 01[tps_footer]Kangana Ranaut and Neha Dhupia stunned everyone as they set the ramp ablaze at the The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

Donning a shimmery gown, Kangana Ranaut was the showstopper for Jabong.com, the popular multi-brand e-store and Neha Dhupia looked drop dead gorgeous in a black and bronze sleeveless top with a high waist silver embellished skirt for designer Payal Singhal.

With over a thousand international high street brands, Jabong.com launched the must have women’s wear collection by British brand Dorothy Perkins. The garments included printed dresses, lacy tops, denim leggings, textured jackets, printed comfy pants, soft cropped jackets, rompers and shimmering cocktail creations.

On the other hand, Payal Singhal showcased a stylish runway summer collection at The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014 comprising of crop top, sheer lehengas, high waist skirts. All in all Payal Singhal had a blend of everything.

Payal Singhal’s collection was inspired by the French Moroccan culture and architecture. Done in tulle, linen and silk in muted colours of grey, rose and blue, the line made models look pretty in intricate patterns of Moroccan filigree work. The collection even has some exquisite saris with asymmetrical blouses and crop tops with skirts. From sheer to lace, the collection has everything, which a woman would want, in her summer wardrobe.

Lisa Haydon too walked the ramp looking a million dollar in a lacy off white gown. Mandira Bedi made her debut as a designer at the The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

Mandira Bedi’s sari collection, which primarily brought forward contemporary designs for the nine-yard garb with bright colours like pink, orange and blue and satin, georgettes and silk as base fabrics. It was an emotional moment for Mandira as her mother Geeta Bedi walked the ramp wearing her daughter’s creation.

The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014, which started March 12, 2014, will continue till March 16, 2014.[/tps_footer]
