[tps_footer]Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Dedh Ishqiya is the sequel to the 2010 crackling drama-comedy film Ishqiya, which had starred Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in lead roles. Dedh Ishqiya is bigger and better, for it stars Madhuri Dixit alongside Warsi and Shah, along with Huma Qureshi as well.
Madhuri Dixit, the queen of millions of Indian hearts, is making a full-fledged comeback to Bollywood with Dedh Ishqiya. After a gap of nearly six years, Madhuri Dixit will return to celluloid with Dedh Ishqiya, and fans are naturally uber excited for the momentous occasion.
Madhuri’s last release was Aaja Nachle, way back in 2007. Post that, the lady had taken a hiatus to raise her two sons, but returned to India a couple of years ago. She was active on television, acting as a celebrity judge on a popular reality TV show.
And now, the wait is finally over for Madhuri Dixit’s die-hard fans, who were eagerly awaiting her return to Bollywood. Dedh Ishqiya, which releases in January 2014, will see Madhuri in a never-seen-before avatar.
At a press conference event for the film, the dancing diva of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit said that she was extremely excited for the film, and especially for the two dance numbers in the film. “There are two dance numbers in the film and both the songs are sung by Rekha Bhardwaj. Birju Maharaj has choreographed one song and the other is by Remo. I am very excited about Remo’s song as it’s very unlike Remo style. He has done a good job.”
Also spotted at the Dedh Ishqiya press conference were Huma Qureshi and Arshad Warsi. Naseeruddin Shah was missing in action.
