[tps_footer]January 18, 2014, The Mumbai Police Show, Umang 2014 took place at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai. Manish Paul hosted the show and as customary almost the entire fraternity had gathered to support this early event.
Umang 2104 saw stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Asha Bhosle, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonali Bendre, Shabana Azmi, Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Madhuri Dixit, Mandira Bedi, Jacqueline Fernandez, Zarine Khan, Boman Irani, Prabhu Deva, Mahie Gill, Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood, Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and many others.
Umang is an annual event where Bollywood participates in huge numbers to raise funds for the police welfare trust.
However, this platform has had some memorable moments this year, let’s take a look:
Sonakshi Sinha, Hrithik Roshan, Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhu Deva set the stage ablaze at Umang 2014. While Zarine Khan wowed the audience with her flawless performance, Mahi Gill set the mood with a medley of songs.
Kareena Kapoor looked stunning in a Shivan And Narresh nine yard coupled with jewellery by Manish Arora for Amrapali. Kareena was styled by Tanya Ghavri and she along with Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty were there to promote their film Singham 2.
Hrithik Roshan was seen teaching some of his awesome moves to the police inspectors, while Shah Rukh Khan had a blast performing the Lungi Dance from Chennai Express with some of the officials.
The bundle of energy Ranveer Singh made a dynamic entry on a vintage bike and set the stage on fire with his Tatar Tatar from Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.
Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Asha Bhosle also went up on stage to share a moment with the police fraternity, thanking them for all the hard work they put in.
Shilpa Shetty and Tabu, though seated in the audience looked ravishing while John Abraham came in sans his wife. Other stars that performed were Varun Dhawan, Prabhu Deva, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
But the evening belonged to Himesh Reshammiya who came out in the open holding hands with his girlfriend Sonia Kapoor.
All said and done, three cheers to the Bollywood Industry for making Umang 2014 a grand success!
