MUMBAI: The Jagran Film Festival launched its 4th edition yesterday, and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and ‘The Lunchbox’ actress Nimrat Kaur were the ones to start it off.
Both the actors started off by lighting the customary diya at the event of the film festival which started off to create a culture of film appreciation across India.
In its 4th edition, the festival has covered 16 cities like Delhi, Agra, Patna, Indore before now landing in Mumbai.
Akshay Kumar spoke about how it is important to have screenings in the city of Mumbai and also how it is necessary that these screenings are free.
Also spotted at the event launch alongside Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur were director Sudhir Mishra (‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’) and Anil Sharma (‘Apne’). French actress Dorothy Briere, who is on the jury, was also present.
