[tps_footer]Amitabh Bachchan is doing all that he can to promote his first ever television drama series title Yudh, that will soon be on air on Sony Entertainment Television.
Today Morning, June 17, 2014, Amitabh Bachchan rang the bell at the Bombay Stock Exchange as part of the promotions of Yudh, that marks his debut in the fiction space on the small screen.
“I am extremely honoured and privileged to be here at Bombay Stock Exchange,” stated an always humble Amitabh Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan, essays the role of a real estate giant Yudhisthir Sikarwar, owner of Shanti Constructions Pvt. Ltd., looking dashing as ever in a formal suit and he rang the bell at 09:15 am.
Amitabh Bachchan even lit the welcome lamp along with N.P. Singh, Chief Executive Office – Multi-Screen Media; Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Office, Bombay Stock Exchange and Sudhakar Rao, Chairman, Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Limited.
Yudh, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, has Anurag Kashyap as the creative director and it is co-produced by Mr. Bachchan’s television company Saraswati Creations with Endemol India.
“I am doing a television serial for the first time. I have done films, reality shows and now I wanted to do something on TV and I got this opportunity. It’s a very different story and I hope the viewers like it.” stated Mr. Bachchan.
Amitabh Bachchan said that he was anxious before starting with the project. “I think as a creative person we used to get anxious and nervous before starting something new. I can only hope viewers will be happy watching it and if not, I will work hard next time.”
Yudh is likely to go on air from July 2014 and stars Sarika, Kay Kay Menon, Nawazuddin Siddique, Tigmanshu Dhulia among others. [/tps_footer]
