[tps_footer]It’s sad but true that most of the bollywood stars has chosen to attend The 15th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA Awards) and have giving the voting day a miss.
Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi, Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Shabana and Javed Akhtar, and Priyanka Chopra, were some of the celebs who merrily headed for Tampa Bay for the IIFA 2014 Awards ceremony.
Superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan were few among the very many Bollywood stars who turned up to cast their votes for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections while the rest were away for The IIFA Awards and stated that IIFA was a prior commitment.
Farhan Akhtar, who would be hosting the IIFA Awards, has always spoken strongly about social causes, cast his vote and encouraged people to go out and vote. Many Bollywood celebs were seen encouraging the people and telling them the importance of voting.
Hollywood actor John Travolta who has been a two time Academy Award Nominee and two time Golden Globe Award Winner, is all set to receive a special honour at the upcoming IIFA Awards.
Also Shatrughan Sinha would be given the award for Outstanding Contribution To Indian Cinema at The IIFA Awards 2014.
The 15th IIFA Weekend And Awards will be held from April 23, 2014 to April 26, 2014 at Tampa Bay, Florida. This is the first time that The IIFA Awards, which go to a different city each year, will be held in the United States.
