NEW DELHI: The team of ‘Satyagraha’ has taken their revolution from film to print. The film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and others have come up with a book titiled ‘Satyagraha: The Story Behind The Revolution’, focusing on the behind-the-scenes and the making.
Penned by writer Pooja Verma, the book traces the effort put in by members of the crew, the cast also comprising of Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Amrita Rao.
Director Prakash Jha believes that the rising social media is best to create awareness of the issue and says, “ Satyagraha, the film aims to showcase the problems of the country’s middle-class against injustice. Since social media is a big drive for the youth of today, hence the book is being released.”
“The book has been designed to cater to social media and in its style,” adds Prakash Jha.
While ‘Satyagraha’ is a serious film about relationships, modern-day politics, the book is not ‘serious literature’ says writer Pooja Verma.
‘Satyagraha’ directed by Prakash Jha and jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Prakash Jha Productions will release on 30 August.
