Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor are on a multi-city tour to promote their film, Ek Villain. The duo was recently snapped as they were in Kolkata. Both Sidharth and Shraddha are very upbeat and excited about Ek Villain and are awaiting the reaction of their fans once the film releases.
Sidharth, who is playing a grey character in Ek Villain, said there is a lot of romance in the film even though the story revolves around two negatives characters.
“There is a lot of romance in the film. It is Mohit Suri’s love story but revolves around bad guys. Not only you would see villains getting together but also a love story,” he added.
Sidharth said it is exciting to play an angry character as it is so different from his personality in real life.
“This character is so much different from characters that I have played before. It is so different from what I am in real life. It is exciting to play a role of an angry character,” he added.
This is the third visit to Kolkata for both Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor and both have not managed to get enough time to explore the city.
“I have not got time to go around the city, not as much as I would like to actually. Sadly we just come here for promotions for a day and go back. Hopefully the next time when I come here, I can explore the city.” stated Siddharth.
For the Kolkata leg of the promotional activities for Ek Villain, Shraddha Kapoor picked a beautiful Rahul Mishra look from his award winning collection. Her white with a hint of yellow ensemble included a zipper peplum jacket top and pencil skirt that opened into a fishtail detail. Keeping it all simple, she styled her look with T-bar sandals, a ponytail and simple make-up.
According to the sources, the director of the film Mohit Suri has asked Shraddha to be in her character Aisha even when she is promoting the film, Ek Villain. Interestingly, this will be a great opportunity for audiences as they will get a chance to see Shraddha in the character of Aisha during the promotional events.
Post Ek Villain, Sidharth Malhotra will be training in mixed martial arts for his next film, a remake of Hollywood movie Warrior.
The film will be produced by Karan Johar and is tentatively named Warrior and is apparently a remake of the 2011 Hollywood boxing drama. The story is about two brothers who face each other in a martial arts tournament.
“The film I am doing next is very exciting. It has an interesting script and it has lot of scope for two characters. It is about mixed martial arts and fighting. I will have to start training for it soon,” informed Sidharth while interacting with media for Ek Villain promotions.
For the Kolkata leg of promotions of Ek Villain, Sidharth Malhotra kept his look very simple and casual and was seen in a grey Zara shirt, denims and plaid Louboutins. Because he was promoting his film, he added a yellow smiley pin to his shirt, which is a signature for Ek Villain.
Shraddha Kapoor is busy promoting her forthcoming film Ek Villain, despite being a little under the weather. She has been to Jaipur and is now in Kolkata to promote the film.
“Shraddha has been a little under the weather. But she is very excited about the release and she is going all out to promote it,” spokesperson of Shraddha said in a statement.
There is too much written about their kiss in Ek Villain. Now according to Shraddha an on-screen kiss is the most technical part of filmmaking.
“The kiss was one of the last scenes we actually shot in our schedule. Because we got to know each other so well during the shoot, we were comfortable with each other. Also A kiss is the most technical thing, even more than stunts.” stated Shraddha.
“It’s not as exciting as people make it sound. We have to give retakes and you have to follow certain instructions at times. Sometimes the camera doesn’t catch you right, sometimes you have to get your facial postures correct. So it’s as professional as it can be. And there are too many people around on the set.” added her co-star of Ek Villain, Sidharth.
Ek Villain, which is said to be based on a Korean movie I Saw the Devil, will hit the theatres on June 27, 2014.
The film marks Riteish Deshmukh‘s debut as an antagonist. Aamna Sharif, who is also making a comeback to the movies with Ek Villain will be seen playing Riteish’s wife in the film, which is directed by Mohit Suri.
