Based on the statements and witnesses by close friends of Pratyusha, Rahul Raj Singh has been booked under section 306 and section 504 of the Indian Penal Code for abetment of the TV actor’s suicide. With this, many revelations have come out and it is also said that Rahul was already married to an air hostess named Sougata Mukherjee in Ranchi in 2011. The two married in a Bengali style, but things turned sour after Rahul’s behavior changed towards his wife. Sougata then decided to get the divorce from him. The two got hitched only to get later divorced and the reason is assumed was Rahul’s closeness with Saloni Sharma (ex-girlfriend), who even tortured Pratyusha Banerjee and asked her to move out of Rahul’s life.

However, Rahul never spoke about his ex-wife to Pratyusha and neither her parents were aware of Rahul’s marital status.
