[tps_footer]Dilip Kumar turned ninety one on December 11, 2013. He celebrated his birthday amidst family, friends from Bollywood as well as the medical staff who took care of him when he was hospitalized for almost three months.
By inviting the medical staff over for a small party, Dilip Kumar and wife Saira Banu proved that they have a heart of gold, because this was their way of thanking the entire staff who took good care of the thespian during his three month stay in the ICU.
Earlier, Dilip Kumar’s wife, Saira Banu was planning to bring out the actor’s biography on the day of his ninety first birthday, but then the circumstances were such that she was too much into his illness and could not manage to so so but promised to release his autobiography next year.
Asha Parekh, who has one regret that she could never work with Dilip Kumar, came in to wish him on his birthday. Writer Salim and his wife, legendary dancer Helen also dropped in to wish his friend. Director Subhash Ghai who worked with Dilip Kumar in the blockbuster Saudagar way back in 1991 came along with his wife. Dharmendra too came in without Hema Malini to wish the superstar. Music composer Lalit was also spotted.
Rani Mukerji came along with her parents, Ram Mukerji and Krishna Mukerji for the party. Dressed in a mustard maxi dress, she smiled for the shutterbugs. Rani is currently preparing for her role as a super cop in Yash Raj Films’ Mardani.
