Shah Rukh Khan Is Keen On Producing Regional Cinema

Shah Rukh Khan was present at an awards function with a plethora of Marathi cinema stars. He confesses that he is open to doing Marathi films.

MUMBAI: First it was Shah Rukh Khan and his appearance in the Marathi song ‘Saavli’ composed by friend Shekhar Ravijani of Vishal – Shekhar fame. And now the star graced an awards function amidst a plethora of Marathi cinema celebrities.

Dressed in a black suit, sporting a beard and wearing a stylish black sling (for his shoulder) to compliment his attire, Shah Rukh Khan was at his usual witty best and confessed that he would love to be a part of Marathi cinema.

“I am open to doing Marathi films, if you have any solid script, I would love to do it,” he wittily said. Shah Rukh Khan also is upbeat about taking his company forward and producing regional cinema.

The actor interacted with the guests and also shared his views on films and philosophies. Also present at the function were the greats of Marathi cinema comprising V. Shantaram, Sonali Kulkarni amongst other legends.

“The art is important and not the artist”, Shah Rukh Khan said, the perfect way to sign off the grand evening.

It clearly looks like Shah Rukh Khan surely is among the favourite even in regional cinema.
