The actress is the new brand ambassador of Sohail Khan’s Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) replacing Huma Qureshi. This news started the buzz that Huma was replaced due to her alleged link up with Sohail Khan.

Sohail Khan along with other Bollywood celebs had held a press conference for Celebrity Cricket League on January 11, 2016. At the launch of sixth season of CCL, Sohail was asked about why Huma was replaced this year. He said “Unfortunately, she can’t be a part of this season, because we don’t have her dates. Her brother will be part of the game. We can’t actually afford a lot of brand ambassadors. We got Kriti this year, Taapsee this year. We got a lot of people who will volunteer to come according to the dates. As a brand ambassador you are expected to come on all days and promote the team. So, she won’t be able to be the poster girl for the league, unfortunately she can’t be that this year. But we have big line-up coming up for our game.”

At the press conference, Bobby Deol, Taapsee Pannu, Sonu Sood, Riteish Deshmukh, Boney Kapoor and Suniel Shetty were present. Riteish Deshmukh has returned to Sohail’s Mumbai heroes this year. He had played for the team in the first two seasons. Sonu Sood will be playing for Punjab team this season. Celebrity Cricket League season 6 kicks off from January 23, 2016.[/tps_footer]
