MUMBAI: The cast and crew of Prakash Jha’s upcoming political thriller ‘Satyagraha’ turned up for the star-studded trailer launch, which saw the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Bajpai.
Part of the star-studded cast of ‘Satyagraha’, which boasts of big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpai, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Amrita Rao and Arjun Rampal, was seen launching the trailer at an event in the city.
Mr. Bachchan was ever the punctual superstar, as he shared notes with Manoj Bajpai and Amrita Rao. Also present was UTV’s Siddharth Roy Kapur.
The director Prakash Jha was also present, and he said he felt extremely lucky to work with Mr. Bachchan.
“It is very fortunate for us that someone from our generation gets to work with Mr. Bachchan,” he said.
Clarifying rumours about the film being based on Anna Hazare, Jha added: “I have not commented on this before. The film is not based on Anna Hazare and has nothing to do with the movement. The entire process of satyagraha comes from Gandhiji. Mr. Bachchan plays the role of a satyagrahi who believes in truth.”
