MUMBAI: For a film with relative newcomes, Bollywood turned out in large numbers at the premiere for director Prabhu Deva’s ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’. And not just Bollywood celebrities, but TV personalities were present too.
While the stars of the film Sonu Sood, Girish Kumar and director Prabhu Deva himself were present, actress Shruti Haasan was absent from the proceedings.
Other Bollywood celebs present at the screening were music director duo Abbas-Mustan, actor Jackky Bhagnani, and Satish Kaushik. Jacqueline Fernandez too came for the screening in a black number. Yami Gautam was seen at the screening as well.
Making a cameo appearance was Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Manyata Dutt who is usually not seen at any events post her husband’s imprisonment. But making an exception here, she looked extremely beautiful, if not somewhat camera-shy, in an orange dress.
Also spotted at the screening of ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ were various TV actors. ‘Baa Bahoo Aur Baby’ actors Deven Bhojani and JD Majethia were present at the screening as was their friend ‘Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai’ co-actor Satish Shah.
‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ is a remake of Prabhu Deva’s own directorial debut, ‘Nuvvostanante Nenodaantana’, a Telugu film that was a huge hit. It releases today, 19 July.
