She was a successful Vj of a popular channel, former Miss India, and a television actress. It was reported that Nafisa Joseph committed suicide just a few weeks before her wedding and she got the unfortunate news of her life that her to-be-husband was a married man. He lied to her of parting ways from his former wife for the past two years. Nafisa was heartbroken and she ended her life for this reason.
