Filmmaker Kabir Khan is all geared up for the release of his upcoming film Phantom and the film will star actors Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan in lead roles. Based on the sensitive issue of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, the film has been surrounded by many controversies since its trailer release. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan, who is known for taking great risks during his shoots, has this time also explored various daring locations.
Well, the daredevil director who believes in perfection has this time gone a bit forward with the risks involved. For the film Phantom, director Kabir reached the location at the Lebanon-Syria border with a crew of 500 people. With the enormous crew, the team decided to set up a refugee camp between the mountains. Well the massive amount of crew got misunderstood by the Israeli forces, and they thought that they were on for a rebel movement.
Because the Israeli forces thought of them as rebels, the security officials started to keep a check on the whole crew. The talented director spoke about the incident to a leading daily saying, “There were these two F-16s circling over our heads while we were shooting. We got worried and asked the locals about them, who told us that these were actually Israeli Air Forces who were keeping a tab on our movement suspecting us to be some kind of rebel movement.”
Kabir who was aware of the whole situation then decided to inform about the same to whole cast and crew of the film, but chose to keep Katrina unaware about it as he thought that she would get worried and scared. Keeping mum about the on goings, Katrina shot the whole schedule without knowing that she was being watched by the officials at all hours. Must say, when it comes to secrets, Kabir is the one to look out for.
The movie Phantom will release on August 28th.
