Aamir Khan Had Almost Turned Down ‘Lagaan’


MUMBAI: After almost a year, Aamir Khan will make an appearance in a television show hosted by Karan Johar. 


The show is a celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. The show hosted by Karan Johar defines the glorious moments of Indian cinema and Indian film celebrities.

Aamir Khan, in this special episode talks about his most career defining moments. He talks about the Oscar-nominated ‘Lagaan’ and how he was the first one to turn it down when director Ashutosh Gowariker narrated it to him. He called the film ‘stupid’, until Ashutosh Gowariker narrated him till he got convinced. The rest, as we all know is history!

Apart from that, Aamir Khan also talked about how he selects his roles as an actor. The last time Aamir Khan appeared on a television show was when he hosted a reality show discussing social issues.

Currently, the actor has ‘Dhoom 3: Back In Action’ and ‘P.K.’ lined up for release.
