Post Satyamev Jayate, one can call him the Oprah Winfrey Of India. Satyamev Jayate Season 2 has been divided into three parts this time. Of the four episodes that were slated for March, two have already been aired.
“We will return with a few episodes in July, and then we will come back with some more episodes in a few months, towards the end of 2014,” informed Aamir Khan.
Aamir Khan has come a long way since his Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak days. From being just a lovable chocolate boy hero on screen, Aamir Khan has many feathers in his cap including National Awards, Filmfare Awards and several other awards. Government of India has honoured Aamir with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan.
But more than a successful actor, the world knows Aamir Khan for his efforts towards social causes. Even through his movies and serial, he tries to raise certain important topics to spread awareness.
Aamir Khan is more than an actor or filmmaker; he is a social activist who uses the medium of cinema to fight against social evils.
Talking to reporters at his residence, where he celebrates his birthday with media persons every year, Aamir said, “Last year was great. I am happy with the success of Dhoom 3 and I am glad that all our hard work paid off.”
Besides Rajkumar Hirani‘s P.K., which is slated for release on Christmas 2014, Aamir Khan has no other film lined up.
“This year, I am dedicating all my time to Satyamev Jayate. Only Raju’s P.K. will release towards the end, but there’s no other film. So, my whole year is for the show.”
