Bollywood At Aamir Khan’s Screening of Film After My Garden Grows

[tps_footer]’After My Garden Grows’ is about girl child marriages in India and tells the story of Monika, a rural Indian teenager growing food to feed her family and the seeds of her own independence in a tiny rooftop garden. Recently, a screening was held by Aamir Khan in Lightbox for the documentary, where supporting him was actress Kangana Ranaut apart from his personal as well as film family. We bring you the star-studded photos!

Aamir Khan looked suave in a chocolate-coloured tee and brown pants. He looked masculine after working on his recent to-be released movie PKAamir Khan spoke on the movie: “Even our law states that girls should not get married under the age of 18. This is against our law and, there comes an age when a woman is mentally, physically or emotionally ready to become a mother or she is ready to run a family. So, they should not get married in a young age.”

Aamir Khan’s wife and famous producer Kiran Rao was the white beauty at the screening. She opted for a white tank top and white pants. Kangana Ranaut the Queen actress came appeared graceful in a pretty navy blue printed dress with a huge v-neck. MARD Farhan Akhtar seemed to hop, skip and jump from a MARD event to appearing at the screening for good friend Aamir Khan in casuals.

Mamu’s Bhanja Imran Khan also came to support Aamir Khan for the screening, appearing courtly in blue formals. Not only that, Imran’s childhood sweetheart- turned- wife Avantika Khan (post-pregnancy) also came to support Aamir. After recently wrapping up Dil Dhadakne Do, producer Zoya Akhtar came in a Zara tee, overcoat, polka dot pants and a black sling. P.K. producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra came in a grey tee and denims with critic wife Anupama Chopra.

India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj winner of season 3, Vijay Krishna Acharya, was seen in blue shirt and overcoat paired with dark blue denims. Rang De Basanti actor Atul Kulkarni came clad in blue tee and yellow pants. Talaash director Reema Kagdi opted for a white printed tee and blue denims.

Those present really loved the documentary and felt that Megan had made a beautiful film to help empower women. They were really touched by the emotional short film.
