DELHI: Aamir Khans upcoming film ‘Peekay’ is facing problem. Police FIR filed against it for insulting on religious grounds.
An FIR against Aamir Khan and director Rajkumar Hirani has been filed. The FIR was filed for allegedly hurting the religious sentiment of Hindus during a film’s shoot at Chandni Chowk.
A mob reportedly gathered during the shoot in which a man dressed as Lord Shiva was pulling an auto-rickshaw in which two burqa-clad women were sitting. At first people thought it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ shoot, however after an enquiry it was revealed to be Aamir Khan’s next production.
A policeman who was on duty took the three actors to Kotwali police station. The actor repeatedly told the police that they had all the legal documents and permissions for the shoot, but the angry mob reached the police station claiming it to be an insult to their religion.
