Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar crosses 650 million in China, becomes the only actor to achieve the benchmark

Over the years Aamir Khan has been synonymous with good cinema. While the actor has broken records with some of the biggest budget films like Ghajini, 3 idiots, PK, Dangal. It is his smallest project Secret Superstar that has made the most impact.

Secret Superstar has Aamir Khan backing the film as a producer with the actor seen in an extended cameo as Shakti Kumar.

With screen time of nearly 20 mins, Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar has gone ahead to break records internationally.

Made on a modest budget of 15 cr, Secret Superstar has minted over 650 crores in China.

The film has surpassed Aamir’s previous blockbuster Dangal in terms of the opening day collection. Secret Superstar earned a sum of 174 crores in its opening weekend breaking records at the box office.

With the hefty amount in China, Secret Superstar has collected a cumulative amount of 705 crores overseas and 784 crores worldwide. Despite the small budget and limited run at the Indian box office, Secret Superstar is the third highest film only after Baahubali: The Conclusion and Dangal.

Aamir Khan is also the only actor to have three films in the 750 crore club with PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar. The actor also dominated the all-time Top-10 highest grossing films with Dhoom 3, PK, Dangal and Secret Superstar.

The actor will be next seen in Thugs of Hindostan along with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
