Aashiqui In Malaysia With Hum Aur Tum

kumar sanu-1[tps_footer]Kumar Sanu and Almas Noor, two unique artistes; a Legend from India and a Songstress from Malaysia and what brings them together is their eternal passion for music.

Imagine a Bollywood Remix Album sung by India’s Golden Voice Kumar Sanu and a Malaysian Princess from the Royal Family Of Kedah Almas Noor.

Almas Noor grew up singing old Hindi Film Songs from the tender age of six, a language completely alien to her. She even stole time with her siblings to go watch a night show of popular hindi films starring Dharmendra, Mumtaz and Rajesh Khanna and her idols were Sadhana and Asha Parekh.

Almas Noor always dreamt that one day like the voices that backed these super stars she too would sing in Hindi and be known for her unique singing talent.

Though Almas Noor is Malaysian she never stopped dreaming, nor did her sincere efforts cease – from juggling her Royal Duties back in Malaysia, devoting time to her Charity and never giving up on her reason to sing.

This time a long dream nurtured comes to fore, where Almas Noor comes together with Kumar Sanu in a refreshing Remix Album Hum Aur Tum with memorable romantic songs.

Hum Aur Tum, creatively headed by Shruti Vohra, who is a sort after Music Video Director and has a keen ear for music. They say two is company and three is a crowd, but the threesome;  Almas Noor, Kumar Sanu and Shruti Vohra have really created magic with the album Hum Aur Tum presented by Times Music.

To add to this trio is another talent Jatin Sharma, the man who has given Hum Aur Tum a new twist and direction. Jatin has beautifully re-mixed soulful numbers like Jaane Jaan, Kya Yehi Pyar Hai, Hum Aur Tum, Kora Kagaz etc. and has managed to retain the essence of the original compositions.

Hum Aur Tum was recently launched in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a lot of fan fair and glitz.

“For us it was a challenging journey as we had to strike right balance between the old and the new. My team and me saw to it that all the songs / videos never lost their quintessential old world sweetness and yet had a fresh and contemporary approach ..The main idea being why should Gen-Next lose out on the most exquisite melodies.” stated a very upbeat Shruti Vohra.

Hum Aur Tum marks a new beginning;  a solid new bridge between the two countries. If all goes well there would be plenty more coming up because Almas Noor has the depth, the love and great support to make her realise her every dream.

Here’s wishing team Hum Aur Tum loads of success and we do hope the music plays on and on!
