Director Abhishek Kapoor who is amidst the shoot of his forthcoming film Kedarnath is known to have delivered successful newcomers. The director in past has worked with Farhan Akhtar and Sushant Singh Rajput for their debut films Rock On and Kai Po Che which went on to become hit projects.
This time around, the Kai Po Che director is all set to launch Sara Ali Khan who has been the most talked about debutant. Abhishek’s lead cast Sushant and Sara, a fresh pair has created a lot of stir on the project titled Kedarnath. When asked Abhishek on how did Kedarnath happen, the director shared, “In my house, spirituality has been a guiding principle. I am a big believer of Shivji and the cosmic forces that oversee us.
There are two kinds of people in the spiritual world. Those who are Believers, and those who are seekers. A believer has trust in the universe and a seeker is one who isn’t but is trying to gain that trust.
I have been both, and I have had some great experiences spiritually. I am ordinarily a seeker, but at times I have found myself fully immersed in God”
Abhishek further added, “The incident of the floods in 2013 also could not leave my mind, due to the stories that came out of it – devastating and remarkable in equal measure. I had to go ahead and develop a film set against that backdrop. I believe it is one of the most important stories I can tell for modern India.”
