Sonakshi Sinha was reported saying that Akira mainly touches on the issue of ragging and she feels that she has been through that stage in her SNDT college which is an all-girls’ college but she says that it was a way of making friends with each other. Sonakshi Sinha says that the people who ragged her and the juniors whom she ragged are still friends today. Sonakshi says that the process of ragging should be enjoyable and not that traumatizes a student or a child for life.

In the upcoming film Akira, Sonakshi Sinha depicts the role of a girl who comes to Mumbai from Jodhpur and gets into a tiff with the college goons she enrolls in. Sonakshi Sinha has been working as the lady love in some action films like Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar, Tevar with Arjun Kapoor, Son Of Sardaar with Ajay Devgn and observing their action moves this actress has applied it all in her film Akira.

Produced by Fox Studios, directed by A.R Mururgadoss Akira will be the second collaboration of Sonakshi Sinha and A.R Murugadoss as he has directed this actress earlier in film Holiday which was a huge success.
