Amjad Ali Khan, who was scheduled to perform at the Royal Festival Hall in London in September, took to twitter saying, “Shocked & appalled. #UK visa rejected. scheduled to perform at the #RoyalFestivalHall in Sep @HCI_London @MEAIndia @SushmaSwaraj @UKinIndia.”

While Amjad Ali Khan expressed his disappointment and shock on twitter, SRK had tweeted, saying: “I fully understand and respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks.”
Well, Nisha Biswal , Assistant Secretary of State in charge of South Asia and Central Asia, apologized in a Twitter post. SRK too replied to her saying that he respects the protocol.
The reason was his name came up on a computer alert list-apparently over his Muslim identity. Even his luggage was checked while his kids were sent to the waiting room of the airport.
