MUMBAI: Shah Rukh Khan’s uber stylish wife Gauri Khan is a brand name in Bollywood unto herself. The lady effortlessly charms us time and again, with her indefatigable and unmatched chic sartorial style.
But the lady is no pin-up star wife. A successful producer in her own right, she is the ruling party at King Khan’s abode, Mannat. Shah Rukh Khan has always maintained that Gauri is the boss at home, and she is also a wonderful, doting mother to both her kids, Aryan and Suhana.
We recently caught the lady at the Mumbai International airport, taking off for London. Effortlessly stylish in blue jeans, a white tee and a long grey blazer for the chilly airplane, she donned a pair of sunglasses to shield her from the gaze of the paparazzi. Accompanying her were good friends businessman Arun Nayyar (who was once married to Hollywood star Liz Hurley), and Parmeshwar Godrej.
It is by now common knowledge that Gauri and Shah Rukh’s son Aryan studies at school in London, and this is perhaps why the lady decided to make a trip out west.
Shah Rukh Khan had earlier mentioned in an interview that he is keen that his children receive the best of education, and this is why he sent his 15 year old son to London. “It was a difficult decision. But I want my kids to have a great education. I realised that in film households, we only talk about box office, casting, scripts and trailers.”
The superstar also added that both he and his wife Gauri make it a point to travel to London to meet their son. “On weekends, Gauri and I take turns to be in London with him. Somehow I feel I spend more quality time with Aryan over these three days.”
Of course, Shah Rukh’s son Aryan has taken after the man in looks and stature. It is believed that the teenager will grow up to be quite a heartthrob, and steal many a heart just like his charming and handsome dad!
