MUMBAI: If you haven’t heard of the soon-to-be-held, first-ever Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA), you’ve surely been living under a rock!
Bollywood’s last and final contingent took off in the dead of the night for the beautiful, idyllic city of Vancouver, in Canada, to witness the most starry extravaganza: a three-day awards ceremony!
Kicking off on 4 April, the TOIFA will see music and dance performances, a slew of film screenings and a glitzy awards night, which will see Ranbir Kapoor host the show for the very first time.
Spotted at the airport, were a host of Bollywood topshots, dressed in their ‘airport best’, as we like to call it.
Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, Anushka Sharma and Anurag Basu were the early entrants, dressed in chic loungewear for the long-haul flight. Soon, Hazel Keech, Manoj Bajpayee, Raveena Tandon, Ileana D’Cruz and Krushna followed suit, and were seen with large travel accessories.
Filmmakers Prabhu Deva and Gauri Shinde shared a few laughs with R Balki before entering the security check area, while Imran Khan looked half asleep as he boarded the flight. Twinkle was one of the last to arrive, and quickly made a dash for the departure terminal.
