“Let’s not talk about the expectations from the film. It is a very serious film and dedicated to the Indian Army.” stated Akshay Kumar at one of the promotional events for his film.
Akshay Kumar wants every one to go and watch Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, as he strongly feels that one needs to respect an individual who is in uniform. According to Akshay, its because of them that we are what we are and rightfully so.
“Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty has lot of issues and causes for which every youngster, every Indian should watch it and understand. We should not take people who wear uniform for granted. Even a traffic police officer, who is standing outside and controlling the traffic. We should not take him for granted. I think it is very essential that we respect any form of uniform.” said a very proud Akshay Kumar who is essaying a role of an army officer in the film.
Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is being produced by Vipul Shah and directed by A.R. Murugadoss. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar along with Govinda in a supporting role. The film also marks the debut of model turned actor Freddy Daruwala.
Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is a remake of the 2012 Tamil film Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Agarwal in lead roles which was also directed by A. R. Murugadoss.
