[tps_footer]There has been a tension in the air about Udta Punjab since quite some time now. Today the movie finally released and looks like the movie has garnered positive reviews everywhere. Today, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh and director Ahishek Chaubey went to PVR.
The media went bonkers as they saw the celebs and the question stormed followed since this movie has been the recent talk of he town. When quizzed about how she was feeling, Alia seemed very excited in her usual bubbly self and said that she was feeling really happy and the response for the movie has been pretty positive till now. She also added that she’s just happy that the movie has finally released. She also expressed her gratitude about getting to be a part of this movie. She also stated that an award would definitely be a huge thing but all she wants is the audience’s happiness and aproval.

When Shahid was asked the same he said that he was pretty nervous if the people would like Tommy‘s character or not because according to him liking a character and playing one are two different things and here Tommy Singh was a complicated character. The characters has used many expletives and seemed very non-chalant so he was concerned whether the people will accept the character or not. Shahid was happy that people loved the character, and not the misbehaviour of Tommy. Talking of the piracy that happened recently with the movie, he expressed his unhappiness about it.

He also added that the audience has the right to decide whether they like the movie or not. Though the film has been through a lot of ups and down, including the making of the movie and the extrernal affairs namely, CBFC. He said that he is thankful to the people who came to watch the movie. He said that he was extremely happy that the Judiciary passed the decision at such a quick pace and accepted the movie with an open mind.
Shahid lovingly added that Alia should win the National Award for the movie and our cute Alia went “awww”
