It is Amitabh Bachchan’s mother Teji Bachchan’s death anniversary today!
The Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan was very close to his parents Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan. His multiple poems reflect the respect that he has for them in his heart. While his father left for heavenly abode in the year 2003, it has been 10 years today that his mother also left this world.
She passed away in the year 2007 after a prolonged illness. She was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital and was later shifted into the ICU when her condition became worse. She passed away on December 21 in the same year at the age of 93.
Big B went all emotional on the day and took to social media to express his emotions. He posted a few pictures of Teji ji and along with them he wrote, “Ma !! She left us today 10 years ago .. the most beautiful Mother in the World .. all Mothers are ..”

Teji ji was a social activist as well. And was also known to be a confidant of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She had also made a special appearance with husband Harivansh Rai Bachchan in Yash Chopra’s 1976 film Kabhi Kabhie.
Talking about the actor’s work front, he is currently working on the film Thugs Of Hindostan. The film also stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. He is also going to be seen in the film 102 Not Out with Rishi Kapoor. It will see him playing the role of 102 years old father of a 75 years old son (played by Rishi Kapoor).
