Amitabh Bachchan Graduates, Wins Prize

MUMBAI: Amongst the many students graduating at the annual convocation of Subhash Ghai, there was one ‘Student Of The Year’, which made headlines – Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

Amitabh Bachchan was honoured with the Whistling Woods Maestro Award and felicitated at the annual convocation of the director’s film school.

Also present on the occasion were classical legends, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, who were also felicitated.

Amitabh has earlier been given a doctorate degree from a leading university and it was again that the best student (read actor) won a prize.

The actor interacted with the 200 students and addressed the students on the competitive Bollywood industry. He gave tips and motivated students with his inspiring words.

“Today times are tough for actors as they have to prove with their first film. In our times we had several opportunities to prove ourselves and had several films to enhance our acting,” said Amitabh Bachchan addressing the students.

There cannot be a better person than Amitabh Bachchan himself to give lessons to students, especially when the actor is a perfect example having seen the highs and lows in the industry.
