[tps_footer]Amitabh Bachchan may not harp about his many campaigns for world peace and others but he is actively involved with many. Recently, he was nominated to be part of Swachh Bharat campaign by PM Narendra Modi and he obliged. Bachchan posted pictures of him with broom in his hand cleaning the streets of Mumbai.
Bachchan took to the streets just a few hours before the Grand Finale of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He tweeted, “T 1659 – And before the finale .. it was ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’ .. went on the streets and broomed and collected dirt to clean up the place.” He later posted pictures from his drive on Twitter which got a great response.

Many stars have picked the broom and went on a cleanliness drive including Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Sachin Tendulkar. PM even applauded Bachchan for his work.
He wrote, “Who wont get inspired when @SrBachchan himself wields the broom &joins Swachh Bharat Mission! Very significant effort.” Well, it is not only our stars’ prerogative to clean India. All of us should join hands to keep it clean and neat. After all, nobody likes to stay in a dump.
