Now comes the news that Madhuri Dixit is doing yet another item-ish number in her new film ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Madhuri Dixit will be performing a mujra to a song titled ‘ Apne karar mien’, composed by Vishal Bhardwaj.
A source close the film says, “Vishal sir is quite excited to compose a song for Madhuri Dixit. He has always wanted to work with her but could never. This is his chance to make her dance to his tune.”
The source goes further and says, “Madhuri loves to dance. In her other film ‘Gulabi Gang’ there is little scope for dance. In ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ she has jumped at the opportunity. What is a Madhuri film without her latka jhatkas?”
Ketan Maru who is the producer of the film says, “The song is ready and we will be shooting it after we are done filming the entire movie. I can’t reveal much but I’ll say that it is a very elaborate number which will be shot on a big set.”
In ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ Madhuri plays Begum Para of Lucknow and has been paired opposite Naseeruddin Shah. It is said that the makers are wrapping up the last of the film’s shoot.
‘Dedh Ishqiya’ is the sequel to ‘Ishqiya’ which featured Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Vidhya Balan.
