It is a little known fact that the uber fit and lean actor is actually quite a foodie. This must be the residue impact of the megastar’s past, where he used to work abroad as a chef.
Not just that, Akshay takes his food in films seriously too, for we have seen him portray the character of a small-time kitchen helper and cook in Delhi’s famous food-district Chandni Chowk in ‘Chandni Chowk to China’.
We spotted Akshay the foodie at the recently held ‘The Upper Crust Food show’ in Mumbai. The food show was held at Mumbai’s World Trade Centre, and is on from 14th-16th December. Akshay was there to inaugurate the food show, and also shared some of his food secrets and recipes with the assembled crowd.
Khiladi Kumar was seen in a white shirt and jeans, at this sunny afternoon event in Mumbai’s mild winter sunshine. He was seen mingling with Farzana Contractor, Editor of ‘Upper Crust’ during the inauguration.
We also spotted Mumbai society’s swish set, who were represented by filmmaker Kailash Surendranath with wife Arti, and Dilshad Khambatta in a short red number. Akshay was seen having a jolly good time at this food and wine show, indulging his appetite by sampling some of the food on offer.
We caught Akshay gorging on his favourite roadside snacks, served at the food show. Diet, be damned! Seemed to be Akshay’s mantra at this delicious event!
