MUMBAI: Anushka Sharma, quintessential Bollywood bubbly girl has a tip for all her young fans. The secret to her long and luscious locks, Anushka reveals at the Parachute Advansed event here in Mumbai, is regular ‘Champi’.
Regular oiling of the hair ensures that Anushka’s tresses are camera-ready anytime. The lady spoke at length about the need to keep one’s hair healthy and happy, at the Parachute Advansed Hair Oil event at the Lalit. Looking stunning (albeit waif-thin) in a short, asymmetric printed black and white number, Anushka wowed us with her commitment to ‘champi’!
We’ve also learnt how industry-savvy Anushka’s gotten off late. The lovely young lass seems to have adopted the adage “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer”. For we learnt of how the young Ms. Sharma has buried the hatchet with her ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ co-actress Katrina Kaif.
For the special screening of her film ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’, Anushka reportedly sent out a message to Katrina, and invited her for the screening to Yash Raj Studios. Katrina accepted her invite and ensured she attended the show. At the theatre, the two girls were seen “getting along like a house on fire,” as revealed by an eye-witness, who added, “They were laughing, giggling and chatting.”
Added the witness, “All’s well that ends well. It was a stupid misunderstanding. Both the girls seem to have put it behind them.” Well, she may find it easier to be friends with her male acquaintances, but Anushka certainly does not mind making friendly overtures to Katrina again.”
To jog your memories of the infamous Anushka-Katrina wars: Anushka had said, “Someone said I wasn’t Anurag Kashyap’s first choice for ‘Bombay Velvet’ and he had to clarify on Twitter. Why are such things said in the first place?” At the time, she was of course alluding to ‘reports’ that suggested that Katrina was the first choice for ‘Bombay Velvet’, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor.
Anushka had gone as far as lashing out at those people who she felt were responsible for ‘planting’ such stories. “Look at the guys (actors, she meant), they don’t indulge in such things. And that’s why I find it easier to be friends with them.”
