NEW DELHI: A gruesome and brutal case which shocked the nation just very recently was the horrific killing of two Indian soldiers stationed at the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. And now, Shah Rukh Khan has condemned these killings by the Pakistani army.

Reportedly, two Indian soldiers, stationed at the LoC in the Mendhar area of Jammu and Kashmir were brutally killed and one was beheaded by Pakistani troops, on January 8th. Lance Naik Sudhakar Singh was killed and with him, Lance Naik Hemraj was brutally beheaded. The entire nation has been up in arms, demanding justice for the slain army soldiers. Reportedly, the Pakistani army has carried out many such killings and beheadings in the last 13 years.

And now, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is among the first in Bollywood to speak out against this atrocity: “Things like country, politics, sports, war, border should be kept different… In a country so volatile, where the youth demand a hard stand… which is a good thing in a democracy.”

Shah Rukh also chose his words carefully, when he said: “I don`t want to participate in anything of which we both don`t have knowledge. I think you and I should be looking at methods to end this strife at the border.”

The superstar further added, “I have been watching TV, where people are saying “haan sabak sikha denge” (let`s teach them a lesson). That is completely wrong. It is sad; soldiers should not die for unnecessary reasons. We should take a hard stand. We should be very clear and whoever does wrong, should have to account for it and be put to the test. As an Indian, I am deeply saddened.”
