After the four successful adaptions of Chetan Bhagat’s novels into films, the fifth in line to see the screen’s light is Half Girlfriend. The movie Half Girlfriend will be ventured under the wings of Ekta Kapoor, if rumors are to be believed the casting for the movie is decided.
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon will be playing the central characters of the movie as far as insiders are concerned. According to reports
“Ekta has already bought the rights to Chetan‘s book and made up her mind about casting Varun in the film.”
Talking about the selection of Kriti Sanon for the role, an insider reveals, “Ekta feels that Kriti is one of the most promising newcomers around and fits the character well. And while there is buzz that Alia Bhatt was approached for the role, all speculation went out of the
window when she broke up with Varun. She has decided to cast Kriti Sanon instead.”
The duo is also coming up in Rohit Shetty’s next Dilwale which also has Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the star cast. The film will hit the theaters on Christmas this year.
