Arjun Kapoor sheds light on the false assault reports about him.
Currently, Arjun Kapoor is in Uttarakhand filming for his upcoming ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’. Recently, there were reports of him getting ‘assaulted’ on the sets. And it has not sat well with the actor.
Reportedly, the man, a driver, wanted to shake hands with the Half Girlfriend actor. The man approached Arjun outside his vanity van. When Arjun complied, the man manhandled the actor and twisted his hand.
Thereafter, the man was immediately detained and arrested for assaulting the actor. The police had even seized the man’s car. He was slapped with the Motor Vehicle Act. Apparently, he was also fined of Rs 500 for driving under the influence of alcohol. The police had even asked the appropriate authorities to cancel his driving license.
This news not only came as a shock to his fans, his family but also Arjun Kapoor himself!
On Twitter, Arjun clarified that no such incident happened. Arjun wrote that the crowd has been peaceful and no harm ever came to him. Arjun emphasized the word ‘assault’ should not be used to create an ‘effect’.

Arjun further added that nobody thought of clarifying the news with him or his PR Team.
Nobody from @TOIIndiaNews got in touch with my PR team or me to get clarity before carrying an untrue front page article about me being assaulted. Rather unfortunate & avoidable. Hope this doesn’t happen in the future cause it got my family distressed and it’s not appreciated.

In the Dibakar Banerjee directed film Arjun plays a Haryanvi policeman. For role preparation, Arjun had to grow a full beard. Banerjee much later finalised his look. His co-star Parineeti Chopra plays a fiercely independent Delhi based corporate woman. Her character is extremely clear about what she wants in her life. Parineeti’s character is a girl who has the peaks of her career in her sight.
‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ is Parineeti and Arjun’s second film together after 2012’s Ishaqzaade. Ishaqzaade was a modern interpretation of the famous Romeo and Juliet.
Earlier, the cast of ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ was filming sequences in Delhi. The film is expected to relase on August 3, 2018.
This is not the last we will see of their Jodi together! Next, we will see Arjun and Parineeti together in Vipul Shah directed ‘Namastey Canada’. As the name suggests ‘Namastey Canada’ is not a sequel to ‘Namastey London’.
