[tps_footer]They tickled many a funny bone, when they collaborated in the 2007 super hit comedy, Partner. And last night, when Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Govinda met, they fuelled speculation of a possible Partner sequel!
Known to be thick friends, Salman Khan and good pal Govinda have rarely met in public, since they came together for David Dhawan’s laugh riot Partner. But last night, the duo bumped into each other at a special industry screening of Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film, Yellow.
Riteish played gracious host to several bigwigs from the industry, among them Salman Khan and Govinda were the most prominent. Salman took the title of the film perhaps a tad too seriously, for he turned up in a sunshine yellow tee and denims. Meanwhile, Govinda, known for his colourful style statements, did not disappoint: the 1990’s comedy king wore a pair of maroon pants, a white tee and a pink army printed shirt.
When Salman and Govinda met, they met like long-lost friends, hugging warmly and laughing and smiling. They looked genuinely happy to spend the evening together, and caught up after ages.
Salman Khan was so bowled over by Riteish’s film that he reportedly wants to remake the same in Hindi. Wonder if he’ll consider Govinda for a part in the film, considering how close the duo is? Further, Salman is known to resurrect the failing careers of his friends, and God knows Govinda’s career could use a hefty, Salman-shaped boost right about now.
