MUMBAI: In Bollywood filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s bio-pic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, we will see  the real Milkha Singh and his cinematic avatar Farhan Akhtar come together at the end of the film.

While earlier it was felt that keeping the real Milkha out of the picture would be for the best, considering how diligently Farhan Akhtar had worked in creating an on-screen Milkha, it is now felt by the film’s  cast and crew that bringing the real-like Milkha into the same line of vision as his acting counterpart would serve the very vital purpose of creating an instant connectivity between the film and the subject of cinema.

Says a source, “Initially Rakeysh Mehra and Farhan thought it wise to keep the real personality out of the film, as audiences would be tempted to compare the two and see how different they are from one another physically. But now when the film is almost complete Rakeysh is taken aback by Farhan’s likeness to the real Milkha. When seen together they almost look like brothers.”

Keeping in mind the similarity between the real and the reel Milkha Singh we would now see the real Milkha appearing at the end of the film.

Farhan, we hear, is  kicked by the idea . It remains to be seen whether the real Milkha Singh can act as well as Farhan can sprint.

Milkha Singh is not the only athlete who will be seen in his bio-pic. There is every chance that the real Mary Kom will make an appearance alongside Priyanka Chopra who is playing her in Omang Kumar’s bio-pic on the boxer.
