MUMBAI: Bollywood’s most multi-faceted actor, director, singer, producer Farhan Akhtar says he’s extremely satisfied with his film ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, which is all set to release next month.
Seen at the clean green drive organized by Asif Bhamla, Farhan looked fit and fabulous, and why wouldn’t he be: after all, he has been training for months to suit the role of an athlete, Milkha Singh, on whose life ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ is based.
Also present at the environment day drive was actress Eesha Koppikar, Shekhar Suman, Anu Malik and Randhir Kapoor.
Farhan revealed that he had to undergo gruelling training sessions in high altitude regions to look the part of a professional runner. He had to run with a tire secured around his waist, at an altitude of 16,000 feet!
Said Farhan, “I’m very excited about this film. It was an amazing experience for me, of course as an actor, and also to play someone as legendary as him. I feel I have contributed adequately to the film… I have done my best. I feel creatively satisfied with the work that I’ve done.”
He then added, “I believe that on an emotional level, it’ll resonate very strongly with people of this country. I’m very optimistic about it.”
Undeterred by the fact that biopics have had limited success in the Indian scenario, Farhan says, “I don’t agree. I think the film should speak for itself. If it’s good, it’ll do well regardless of what genre it is.”
