Bipasha Basu whose thriller film Creature 3D released today, is pretty excited about the film. Given the use of Stereoscopic technology, the actress feels the film will be able to get the numbers. But tell her if this kind of films has made the women-centric genre strong, she shoots down the possibility.
It seems Bipasha doesn’t think it will bring about any change whatsoever in the female-centric film genre. She rued that everytime a film with a female in central role releases, people talk about how women-centric films have huge scope. It happened with Kahaani, Chandni Bar, Corporate, Fashion and others. But it is just a façade. It is still a hero-centric industry and always will be.
Well, it seems Bipasha has no hopes about this industry which feels doubtful to bank on women-centric films too often. They also feel that women actors can’t give them the numbers than heroes can. Now, that isn’t a lie at all and everyone will look for success but doesn’t that stifle innovations. We believe it does and we are completely with you Bipasha here.
