The very audacious Pooja Bedi born on May 11, 1971 in Mumbai, is the daughter of Kabir Bedi and late Protima Bedi. A year old today the lovely diva manages to stay young at heart.

Born and brought up in a Bohemian progressive artistic environment, Pooja had her own ways ever since she was a child. Being the most popular celeb of her time, Pooja was considered to be the face of a new breed of liberated and independent women emerging in India.

The striking diva grabbed national attention in 1991, when she appeared in a series of advertisements to promote the condom brand KamaSutra, to raise AIDS awareness. The explicit content of the ad was a matter of concern at that time. A complaint was lodged with the Advertising Standards Council of India.

Pooja Bedi was married to Guetta Ebrahim Furniturewala whom she met in the year 1990,  however they divorced in the year 2002, the couple have two children Aalia and Omar.

Pooja Bedi‘s love life was always a matter of sorts and today she enjoys an elated relationship with her beau Akashdeep Saigal, a television actor.

Not owning a fortunate career as an actress, she turned writer with the new millenium, and compiled and edited Timepass, the memoirs of her mother Protima Bedi. Besides being a columnist with The Times of India, the Hindustan Times and Midday, the talented actress has also written articles for numerous publications, including L’officiel, Femina and The Week.
