Known for helming short films Dark Brew (2017) and 22 Awards winner Dum Dum Dumroo (2018) with one award in Hollywood and London each, writer-director Akash Goila is all set for his grand digital film Bedhab. The film stars Sanjay Kapoor, Karishma Kotak and debutant Aashish Sachdeva in the lead roles.

Akash Goila feels that his film will bring the new genre in Bollywood. He strongly believes that dark humor has not been touched in India properly.

Talking about the film, director Akash Goila says, “I always wanted to make films on social causes though not very preachy and serious. I feel the audiences should understand and relate with the issues. The title of the film, Bedhab, means odd and it deals with the issue of smoking habbits and interestingly it isn’t focusing on cancer rather have a different take on it.”

When asked about the casting, he further adds, “When I met Sanjay Kapoor, I could see him fitting into all the three different roles as the lead guy has a triple role in the film. He is a humble guy, very supportive and I could see his craving to do the characters prominently. Later, Sanjay recommended Karishma Kotak for the female lead. For debutant Aashish’s role, I wanted a typical Delhi looking local boy hence roped in the film.”

Bedhab has been entirely shot in Greece and is slated for March 2019 release.
