When Nana Patekar is part of a film, it can only get bigger and better. Ab Tak chhappan was about a maverick and eccentric encounter specialist played to perfection by Patekar. Before Shimit Amin got into Hockey, this film was his claim to fame. Now you know why Chak De! India was so awesome.
Ardh Satya
Ardh Satya helped a powerhouse of talent who goes by the name of Om Puri get a lot of attention. This fantastic actor portrayed the role of an aggressive yet honest cop to perfection. With fighting corruption as its theme, Ardh Satya is one of the cult classic.
GangaaJal
Many would find GangaaJal’s presence here disputable because it was more about the getting justice by pouring acid in the miscreants’ eyes. But without Ajay Devgn as the righteous cop trying to strike a balance between corrupt ministers and his wayward, revenge seeking subordinates, the film would have failed to make an impact.
Singham
It is a commercial entertainer but the kind of impact Singham had on people was amazing. Suddenly, the people found renewed respect for cops and it went on become a hit.
